The company is the main developer of the H100 technology
and genetically
engineered adenoviruses for cancer treatments.
It has successfully developed drugs to treat cancer
such as H101,
H102,
and H103.It
has demonstrated an excellent capability in conforming
to international business standards and respects IP
protection. New Sunway Biotech’s drugs have obtained
Chinese patents. H102 has
an international patent; it is indicated to treat liver
cancer, and is in pre-clinical development. H103
is just in the phase I of the clinical trial and is
indicated to treat local site with systemic
anti-tumor effect. H101
is the first product of the H100 series. It is a genetically
engineered adenovirus. The H101 can replicate
itself in the tumor
cells. These replications lead to the tumor
cell lyses and so destroy the tumor. In most tumor
cells (more than 50%), the P53
pathway is deficient, and that is why the adenovirus
can replicate itself in it. That is why the H101
replication
and the lyses are impossible in a normal cell. H101
will kill only the tumor cells, not/never the normal
ones. The H101 does not have
the side-effects of chemotherapy like the extreme tiredness,
the loss of the hair, nauseas…H101
Phase I, II, III clinical trials have demonstrated good
effects and safety for the human body in the treatment
of head
and neck cancer, lung and sarcoma.
